Designer - Image toolDesigner – Image tool

The Image tool adds an image to your design, such as a logo, background, or static graphic.

Position

The Position properties define the placement and size of an element within the design. Adjusting these values allows precise control over where the image appears and how much space it occupies.

  • Left (X) – Sets the horizontal position of the element, measured from the left edge of the design.
  • Top (Y) – Sets the vertical position of the element, measured from the top edge of the design.
  • Width – Defines the horizontal size of the element.
  • Height – Defines the vertical size of the element.

Adjusting these properties ensures images are properly aligned and scaled within the design.

Margin

The Margin properties control the spacing around an element, defining its distance from surrounding elements. Margins help maintain layout consistency and improve readability.

  • Left – Adds space to the left of the element.
  • Right – Adds space to the right of the element.
  • Top – Adds space above the element.
  • Bottom – Adds space below the element.

Margins can be used to fine-tune spacing and alignment for a clean and balanced design layout.

Properties

  • Visible

Hides the image from the badge preview and print preview.

Tip: You can add a background image as a visual reference and place elements on top to align objects accurately. Once positioning is complete, uncheck Visible to exclude the image from printing while keeping it available for future adjustments.

  • Opacity

Adjust the image opacity using predefined levels: None, 25%, 50%, 75%, or 90%.

  • Image Filter

Applies a visual filter to the image:

    • None – No filter applied.
    • Grayscale – Converts the image to black and white. This is useful when printing with a K panel only.
    • Negative – Inverts the image colors.
  • Horizontal Align

Controls alignment along the horizontal axis:

    • Left – Aligns the image to the left edge.
    • Center – Centers the image horizontally.
    • Right – Aligns the image to the right edge.
  • Vertical Align

Controls alignment along the vertical axis:

    • Top – Aligns the image to the top edge.
    • Middle – Centers the image vertically.
    • Bottom – Aligns the image to the bottom edge.
