Designer - Front Back DesignDesigner – Front Back Design

The Front Back Design area in IDpack allows you to create and customize professional badge designs with ease. You can start by selecting a badge format or by using one of the provided starter designs, then tailor it to your needs. The editor adapts to both simple and advanced workflows, making it suitable for all skill levels.

To add text to a design, use the Text tool. By using [shortcodes], you can dynamically insert data from your records. This allows you to combine fields, add prefixes or suffixes, format addresses, and more. For example, entering [firstname] [lastname] displays Steve Smith using record data. The Dynamic Text tool remains available for compatibility, but [shortcodes] are recommended for maximum flexibility.

The Front Back Design area is also suitable for creating static badges when dynamic data is not required. This includes designs without database fields, Photo IDs, or variable barcodes. For example, you can print the back of a card with static information, then reinsert the cards to print personalized content on the front. When your design is ready, use Print Preview to review the layout before printing.
